We invite you to participate in a learning event designed specifically for candidate support providers and facilitators. During our time together, participants will have an opportunity to calibrate their support efforts. Now that the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards has released all components and information about changes to the certification process, joining together to attune our support is essential to sustain a robust support network for Arizona’s teachers who choose to embark on the highly reflective and newly structured journey.
During the event, we will also provide more information about the Arizona K12 Center funding assistance, small group cohort meeting schedules and expectations, Candidate Support Provider (CSP) expectations, and future CSP learning opportunities.
This meeting is intended for Board-certified teachers who were identified as Arizona K12 Center Candidate Support Providers (CSPs) during the 2018-2019 school year. This meeting will include a working dinner at the Arizona K12 Center.
Participants can expect to know and be able to do the following:
- Learn skills and strategies designed to support candidates through the process
- Learn ways to promote collaboration while emphasizing individual responsibility and accountability
- Learn strategies for challenging conversations and managing stress
- Learn ways to support candidates with complying with the policies, guidelines, and assessment practices set forth by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Registration includes materials and dinner.
